Q1. What first attracted you to Soul Music, is this relevant today?
The passion, feeling and ‘soul’ of the tracks I heard, including the first recordings from Motown and Stax to reach the UK, early 1960s. Yes, there are still recordings that contain similar elements of music and performance.

Diversity of styles, dedication of presenters, overall entertainment value.

Alan Freed for helping break the music, Wolfman Jack, extrovert style,
UK- Mike Raven, David Simmons, David Jacobs, Humphrey Lyttleton

Entertaining to listen to, and learned a bit more about the music from him.

Playing tennis, watching football- Charlton Athletic – that’s relaxing??!!
