What attracted you to soul music in the first place, and does this still apply today?
Back many years ago at my youth club I remember hearing stuff like Chic, Billy Ocean, Michael Jackson etc the disco era really but that got me into soul, didn’t really get to much soul on the radio but I soon found Capital Radio and Radio Luxumbourg (The Great Disco 208)

Don’t have any, love them all!
What radio experience did you have before you joined Solar?
Hospital Radio in The late 80’s and early 90’s, and two years on Zero Radio, The Monday Boogaloo – loved every minute of it and all the great guys at the station.
What is/are your main criteria in choosing records for airplay?
Something I think the Listener will enjioy, or something fresh and new, or a quality old track that will make you look forward to the weekend.
Why would you recommend Solar to a listener?
The presenters on Solar love the music they play and have a great knowledge of the music and I think that comes across.
Which other DJs do you admire and why?
Robbie Vincent – great prsenting style, Greg Edwards made Saturday night.
Martin Collins his passion for the music used to come across.
Paul Mckenna yes that one (look in to my eyes) best ever Breakfast show back in the 80’s
And of course Tony Blackburn just Sensational, great shows on Radio London back in the 80’s
How would you like to be remembered by a listener?
As a fun Presenter who played good music, and a nice guy.
What do you do to relax?
Beach walks, listen to a lot of music, nice meals out and soul nights.
