

What attracted you to soul music in the first place, and does this still apply today?
It was after being introduced to the Wonderful voice of Lou Rawls that I started to explore and fall in love with the genre, I have just more passionate as iv’e grown older

Easy one for me as I grew up with and attended Lacey Lady, Goldmine and The Royalty on a regular basis.
What radio experience did you have before you joined Solar
I had many residencies of both large and small venues before joining Solar the 1st time around.
What is/are your main criteria in choosing records for airplay
A ‘feeling’ and the wish to explore all avenues of this wonderful music whether it be on the deeper or jazzier side.
Why would you recommend Solar to a listener
Simply the best in terms of musical choice and presenters.

Tony is a Legend, Shaun Louis, Dug Chant, Gary Dennis (Old school friend), Sir Richard Searling and Dr Bob Jones.
How would you like to be remembered by a listener
Playing quality Soul and Jazz but not necessarily the obvious choices.
What do you do to relax
I live in a farmhouse so takes a lot of upkeep in between attending a huge number of live gigs and events.
